so, we used to play once a month . 7-9 players usually but we quit maybe 2 yrs ago. its always been just a casual game with friends and family. i was probably the best player before just based on my math skills and gambling experience

but now... i lost my job 6 months ago and have been playing poker 60 hrs a week since thanksgiving and reading, studying, learning, soaking up all i can. im a totally different player than i was then. the game isnt the same to me at all.

people should be here in 20 minutes or so, i almost feel bad for them. they are all rocks, ill destroy em - but i dont want to be an asshole. i like to be an asshole online, thats my deep down true persona but i cant do that to people i know and love

i almost feel like im cheating, but this'll be interesting.

so what has 60 hours of poker a week done for you ?

not up enough to mention, i play small stakes. i have moved up some as bankroll has went up ,also had to drop back down a couple times. ROI is at 21% since new years when i left stars and went to fulltilt.

i do feel like i have a BS in poker now , compared to before i had a GED. now i need my PHD! being unemployed has its perks.

...also think i pissed off one uncle. these guys min bet ALWAYS so i pushed him all around. he left 30 seconds after i beat him heads up last tourney

yeah, thats it exactly

this isnt a brag post, just more like commentary. the stakes i play should be soft.im just stating my amazement at how little i understood for so long

no need to hate.

not hating at all... just wondered what made you feel like you've seen the wizard by simply beating a little home game.

i could see how you could say that if you were making 500 to 1000 a week online due to your new found knowledge.

yeah maybe i wasnt clear. i meant to express that i am amazed at how bad i used to be without being aware of it. ive always had decent success, without even understanding the basic shit like i do now. i was so naive

is that better?

if not, more of your inciteful insight is always welcome(<)<
